PGA: Honda Classic

PGA Cheat Sheet

After more than a month on the abnormally soggy left coast and a brief stop in the mountains of Mexico, the PGA tour begins its annual Florida Swing. The Honda is known for one thing, carnage. One of the most difficult courses on tour, PGA National really flexes its muscles on holes 15-17. Dubbed The Bear Trap (homage to The Golden Bear himself whose renovation in 2014 truly toughened up PGA National), this stretch of holes gobbles up ProV1s by the dozen. If you make it out of these holes alive, there’s a good chance you’ll have a nice week in Palm Beach Gardens. The field is weaker than it’s been in previous years as World No.1 Justin Rose and last week’s tour-de-force, virtual wire-to-wire champ World No.2 Dustin Johnson will be sitting this one out. Last year’s champion Justin Thomas is certainly the man to beat, but on such a volatile golf course, nothing is guaranteed. Without further ado, Let’s have a look at Honda…
